Powerful Writing Tips
Powerful content goes beyond just presentation of facts. It interprets; adds depth and hue to it. Here are some tips about writing powerful content:
Structure
An article has three parts. The introduction, the body, and the conclusion sums it up all. The subheads should be uniform in structure and length.
Motto
Talk to your clients to know their objective for the article. Then do sufficient research before writing.
Language
Use familiar words and short and smart sentences. Try to present your idea without any ambiguity in a nutshell. Use bolds, italics wherever needed but don’t overuse.
Headlines
Don’t write serpentine headlines. But your headlines or sub headlines must percolate what is inside the article or the paragraph.
Bullet points
Use bullet points to ensure a smooth flow of the idea. Let your bulleted chunks be uniform.
Inverted pyramid
It implies giving information in terms of decreasing importance. If the most important information in the last para then many readers may not read till there so your purpose is failed. It is also a good idea to start with the conclusion.
One idea per para
Let every para present an idea. This will give your write up a tangible structure. Neither dump too much information in one page. Use hyperlinks to split the information in different pages.
To conclude good writing flows from passion as well as know how. So try finding a rhythm in your work. You are sure to achieve some command over the field.
